Of course, there are many safety rules and precautions to take in order to avoid injuring yourself too badly. For example, the bikers must wear the suit provided for him or her, this suit has a good deal of padding in case the driver is accidentally removed from the vehicle and must endure the pavement, the suit will significantly lower his injuries. The drivers are also trained on how to protect themselves when facing a collision, and how to properly turn corners at high speeds. Sometimes accidents do happen on the race track, but usually the driver survives.

A famous type of road racing is the Motorcycle Grand Prix. This is a professional race where drivers from various countries compete for the goal. The goal of the race is to simply win first place. There have been several world MGP (Motorcycle Grand Prix) championships, the first championship occurred in 1949.

The MGP racing style is similar to that of Formula 1 races, the race must take place on a private road or track and each vehicle is able to travel and extremely high speeds. There are many different video games based off of this type of bike racing, many of them are simulators in arcades. So, expect high speeds and straight or slightly curves roads in the game.

Moto Cross races are very different from Road races; in fact they are almost opposites. For one, Moto Cross racing takes place in surfaces such as dirt, sand, mud, or grass. The races also include various artificial or natural hills for the racers to get some airtime and perform various tricks and stunts. Every driver is placed next to each other so no one driver gets a head start, everyone starts and the same time from the same place.
